Mango lassi is a very healthy tasty and lip smacking beverage. It is a popular beverage in India originated in punjab, prepared with curd/yogurt.
Traditionally it is just called Lassi, which is a blend of yogurt, salt and grounded cumin seeds. they are mostly served with lunch and are enjoyable when chilled.
Lassi comes in many ways like sweet lassi, salt lassi, mint lassi, masala lassi, fruit lassi.
When summer is here, there pours in mangoes. Here i'll show you how to make delicious mango lassi. you can also make fruit lassi using apple, papaya, strawberry, chickoo depending on availability and your taste.
Mango Lassi recipe
Serves : 2 tall glass
Ingredients (1 cup - 250 ml)
Mango - 1 large, chopped
Milk/water - half cup
Fresh curd - 1 cup
Cardamom - 3, finely crushed
Sugar - 4 tbsp
Ice cubes - 4-5
Method
- In a blender, add chopped mangoes along with quarter cup milk/water and blend well until smooth
- Then add fresh yogurt, remaining milk, sugar, ice cubes and blend again till smooth and serve immediately
Note : You can add 1 tsp rose water while blending second time
