A delicious summer cooler from raw mangoes. Panha is a refreshing super flavorful drink originated in maharastra. It is sweet, it is sour, it is spicy, it is salty and all in all you can say - a perfect drink.
Mangoes are abundant in summer months and you try to make best out of it. So here is one more raw mango recipe into book.
This Panha/ raw mango squash can be stored in cooling temperature and enjoyed whenever you want.
Panna / Raw mango squash recipe
Serves : 6Ingredients
Raw green mango - 4 medium sized
Sugar - 2 medium cups (mango & sugar in 2:1 ratio)
Water - 1 cup
Rock salt - 1 tbsp, coarsely grounded
Pepper - 1 tsp, finely crushed
Method
- Wash fresh raw mangoes, peel and chop into cubes
- In a saucepan, add chopped mangoes and sugar along with water and boil until mangoes are soft
- add this mixture in a blender or mixer and blend till smooth
- now put back this blended mix into saucepan along with rock salt and pepper and cook for about 20 mins on medium flame
- Bring down from flame, allow it to cool and pour in an air tight container and refrigerate.
- when you wish to serve, take 3-4 tbsp of this mixture and top it with water and crushed ice and serve immediately
Note : can store for 4-5 days
