Paddu is a very tasty dish made from dosa batter, actually from left over dosa batter! After enjoying dosa in the morning or previous day you can use the left over dosa batter to make paddus.
They are a bite sized, cup shaped food enjoyed as a evening snack with a cup of hot coffee / tea or can also be made for breakfast. This food reminds me of my childhood days where my mom used to pack paddus for my snack box :)
Paddu is also known as paniyaram and gundpongalu. This is actually originated from Tamilnadu where used to be made for eating on long distance trips without the use of refrigerator.
Try this paddus along with tomato-onion chutney or coconut chutney.
