Bisibele Bhath - a popular traditional authentic Karnataka delicacy with fabulous taste. Learn how to make Bisibele bhath using home made Bisibele bhath powder. This is a rich spicy rice-lentil dish.
It is a healthier dish with good amount of veggies and lentils. This is usually served with khara bhoondi.
This is my grandma's popular recipe. I learnt it from her when she last time visited my home. she has magic in her hands, every food she cooks has divine taste. I wish i could learn more recipes from her.
Here in this recipe, i have freshly grounded the spices making food more healthier and fresh. You can find bisibele bhath powder readily available in super markets. But tastes best when you use freshly grounded masala powder. It just takes 3-4 mins to prepare your own bisibele bhath powder.
This is a Jain food, i have not used onion or garlic. You can add sliced onion during tempering.
Try this bisibele bhath with a spoonful of ghee and khara bhoondi or tomato raita or curd.
